I want to get a blackberry and i was planning on getting it off ebay and activating it at home but my internet is blocked on my current phone. When i activate the blackberry will it still require me to have internet even when the internet is already blocked. My carrier is verizon.

The t-mobile website says that you need a blackberry data service plan, but if I buy it from ebay, then is it okay if I just insert the SIM card in and use it? Or do i have to purchase the package?
