The shake and tilt iPhone clones are very popular right now. At first, consumers didn’t know what to make of them or whether being able to change music and media by shaking the phone was really a feature that was needed. However, the answer to this seems to be a resounding yes since these phones are among the most popular on the market today.
I think their popularity stems from the fact that it truly is very useful to be able to advance the phone only by shaking it. It frees you from having to look down, stumble, or scroll around. It also means you only have to tilt the phone to move to wide screen. This makes using this phone very intuitive and easy.
Also, consumers seem to know that it’s really silly to spend an arm and a leg on the “latest phone” because truthfully, new technology is coming out all the time. What seemed so innovative yesterday is old news today. And, once that happens, it’s going to be a lot more guilt free to move on when you didn’t spend that much to begin with. Plus, in today’s economy, using a more reasonably priced carrier makes sense if you don’t want to be stuck with one company’s mandated expensive service.
The A88 is among the best selling of these shake to the music clones for a couple of reasons. First, it has all of the standard features we’ve come to expect from CECT, like: an oversized (3.2 inches) finger touch screen; the ability to surf the web, email, and text, via GPRS/SMS/EMS/MMS; full MP3/ MP4 capabilities, a built in web cam and a 2.0 mega pixel digital camera; and expandable memory of up to 2GB.
Second, the camera and photos on this phone are particularly good. You can edit pictures using only your fingers. Some of the shake and tilts only have a 1.3 mp camera so the 2.0 mega pixels is an upgrade. And, the sound system and speakers are as sharp as always. I’ve not had any problems whatsoever with mine.
Here’s a tip. This phone is one and the same as the HiPhone i32. The phones are sometimes called different names, but they have the same features. However, most people know this model as the HiPhone, which usually means you will pay more. Try buying it under the name A88 and you will likely pay less – usually in the low $100 range.
