i updated it through desktop manger. i just found the backup…thanx alot
How did you update it? Through wireless update or desktop manager? If you did it from a desktop manager, the desktop application should have made a backup for you to restore your information. I had not lost any of my information so I am not sure why that happened. Where did you get the update from?
HELP!! I recently updated my storm for the first time..i went from the 4.7 to 5.0 but my phone completely restarted!! I lost everything on my phone. Is that normal or did i do something wrong??
does it come updated out off the box now?
Can i browse with this phone using my home wireless connection? or is the only way you can browse is by getting a data plan?
Yeah, I got mine from google. Theirs other ones that developers made and you can find them in the App World, but Google tends to not work for me a lot.
It came with mine, I have verizon so Im not sure if it works for specific networks or not. I had that icon from launch date.
Hey man, I see that you have a “SMS and MMS’ icon. How did you get that?? I have an unlocked Storm using it with AT&T right now with NO data/internet plan. All I have is a “SMS” icon. the storm will only allow me to send regular texts (SMS) but not any pics or vids (MMS). I have updated to the v5.0.0.419 OS and still not able to send or receive MMS’s. Thanks in advance for any help.

@Cin3mattic I don’t know much about flashing storms so I can’t help your out much :\ sorry.
@asim012 Plug it in to your computer via USB, and then open the software that came with it. There should be an update icon, and it should update. Make sure you have the up-to-date version of the Blackberry Desktop manager (CD that came in the box)

@infaretics i actually just flashed my storm to cricket…. its fully flashed and i want the 5.0 update BUT i heard that if i do that itll take away the full flash and ill only b able to txt and call… so can you or n e body else help out and tell me if this is true i dont want to lose my full flash!
@Cin3mattic You can go on the verizon website to download it, or just plug the blackberry into the computer, and let Blackberry Desktop Manager to the rest (if you have it installed which the cd came with the phone.) If not, just browse around verizons website :p
