How do I stop my Blackberry alarm from ringing when the phone is off?
I have a Blackberry 8220 with several recurring alarms set in the calendar. There have been times when I’ve needed to turn my phone off and have forgotten to delete the calendar event. A couple of times, even though I turned my phone off, the alarm has gone off which proved to be more than embarrassing. Is there any way to disable this feature so that when I turn my phone off, it is actually off?
Thanks for the answers already given, but, I think I need to clarify my question. My alarm is not sounding through the clock app, it is an event notification from my calendar. I just want to know if sounding an alarm for a calendar event when the phone is off is build into the phones system or if there is a way to change this so that the calendar event alarm does not ring through when the phone is off. Thanks.
