The Pearl 8100 is the original Pearl released about 2 years ago. The Pearl 81303 is the second-generation Pearl 2 that offers a couple of upgrades like a better camera (2MP vs 1.3MP), video recording, newer operating system, improved media player and GPS. There are two other variants of the second-generation Pearl. These are the 8110 (also has GPS but it is the GSM variant) and the 8120 (GSM variant that comes with Wi-Fi instead of GPS). Other than that the second-generation Pearls are the same.
